[Question] Modding tutorials?

I was looking to make some skin mods but I didn't really know how to do it. I know you can use TXD Workshop and edit the bitmaps with photoshop, but is that the only way. Is that the was all of you do it?

Extract the PNG or bitmap from the TXD file using TXD workshop, open that up in photoshop and edit it.

Google doesn't really return very good results unless you use specific search techniques, that's why you can't just type in 'Modding tutorial' and expect to get one that's specific to GTA SA.
